Recent international medical literature showed how our changed dietary habits, characterised by excessive consumption of proteins and fat, tend to shift our metabolism toward an extreme acidic load. This “acidifying” tendency, if prolonged, can contribute to kidney stones formation or osteoporosis development. To understand how an exceedingly “acid” diet can threaten bones, we need to remember that calcium alkaline salts located in our skeleton are one of our main “base” reserve.  Continuous extraction of calcium, tested during metabolical acidosis, can eventually lead to a bone mass reduction particularly after menopause, since amongst the changes induced by oestrogens shortage, we have a tendency for a systemic acidosis condition. Treatment for the early stages of osteopenia and osteoporosis is presently accompanied to a calcium and vitamin D supplement. Recent studies confirmed this approach is paramount, but also showed the necessity for a correct acid-base balance in our nutrition. • 30 sachets of granular powder (3.5 g) that contain calcium citrate and vitamin D3 (envelope A)

• Sachet A: unless advised otherwise by your GP, 1 sachet in the morning on an empty stomach to facilitate calcium absorption. Empty the content of the sachet into half a glass of water, stir thoroughly and drink immediately. 
• Sachet B:  unless advised otherwise by your GP, 1 sachet in the evening to facilitate an adequate opposition to metabolical acidosis, normally stronger in the night. Empty the content of the sachet into half a glass of water, stir thoroughly and enjoy a citrus flavoured drink.
