Folic Acid

Folic acid is a water soluble vitamin B group. Folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy, the normal synthesis of amino acids, normal blood formation, normal homocysteine metabolism, normal psychological function, the normal function of the system immune, the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, ntervenes in the cell division process. Folic acid is present in offal (kidney, liver), as folate in green leafy vegetables (lettuce, spinach, broccoli), pulses and eggs. Its presence is poor in fruits and milk.
