Purity of Creapure®

The production conditions and the choice and treatment of raw materials are decisive for the quality of creatine monohydrate. Poor quality raw materials or for example a too fast reduction of the quantity of water during recrystallization lead to large values and therefore to large quantities of creatinine, dicyanodiamide and dihydrotriacin.

Creatine monohydrate, dosages: how and how much to take


You will have often wondered what the correct dosages are for taking creatine monohydrate, also because you have probably heard of load cycles or constant (chronic) intake etc.


Intake with loading phase
Some studies have made it possible to establish the amount of creatine that would be "theoretically necessary" to ensure the maximum accumulation of this substance in the body.

To carry out the load, we often rely on the formula 0.3 g for each kg of lean mass, for a duration of 5-7 days, and then move on to a maintenance phase in which 3-5 g are taken. In this case we think in cycles, which should be maintained for 6-8 weeks interspersed with an interruption of 4 weeks.


Chronic intake
Many people do not tolerate such high doses of creatine and in reality the loading system seen above is even a little out of date. Other studies have shown that a similar result can be obtained by taking 3 grams per day for 90 days. We remind you that it should be taken every day, regardless of the days of training or rest.

The figures would therefore always seem to indicate 90-100 grams as the maximum quantity for the accumulation phase. However, it must be said that in the meantime the creatine will be consumed and therefore it would be advisable to increase the consumed dose to 4-5 grams if no charge has been made previously. If, on the other hand, you have taken a load of creatine then 3 g per day is enough to maintain this state.

In this case it is not necessary to do any cycle and no deadlift, you can also take creatine all year round.
