Widespread is the use by athletes of isotonic energy drinks which, however, often use ingredients that can be "heavy" or irritating to the gastriointestinal system, sometimes create a "roller coaster" effect on blood sugar or are not properly balanced on concentration and dilution of the elements.


Why use carbohydrates during workouts?

Using carbohydrates during training and in particular cyclic cyclodextrins allow you to have a powerful combination of contrast to the catabolism generated in training. It is precisely because of their unique characteristic which is low osmolarity, an excellent support for cellular hydration (the hydrated cell is an anabolic cell) and do not cause dehydration due to the recall of liquids in the stomach and intestines, with significant effects on recovery and 'adaptation.

What are the benefits of isomaltulose Palatinose ™?

Isomaltulose, patented as "Palatinose ™", is a carbohydrate defined as "intelligent" of natural origin, which supplies the energy of all carbohydrates (4kcal / g) in a more balanced way, thanks to its particular low glycemic index. Among its peculiarities is the improvement of the oxidation of fats during physical activity, further prolonging the energy yield. Furthermore, a curious feature that it is the first non-cariogenic carbohydrate for the teeth. Palatinose ™ is a disaccharide that derives exclusively from the sucrose of non-GMO sugar beet, obtained through the enzymatic rearrangement of the glycosidic bond between glucose and fructose,where the difference with respect to sugar consists in the particular bond between the glucose and fructose units (alpha-glucosidic bond 1,6 instead of 1,2 in sucrose) where the energy is released more slowly and not all at once.

This translates into the fact that the athlete will be energetically supported in a slower, constant and prolonged way with a much more elongated glycemic curve, with blood sugar levels that will remain lower and balanced, with a lower demand for insulin and a better metabolic profile. As a result, performance is sustained longer for sustained energy gain from carbohydrate oxidation where, unlike most sugars and starches, Palatinose ™ does not block fat burning. High levels of fat burning are desired in weight management and may also be of interest in endurance exercise where optimal use of limited carbohydrate sources could be beneficial.

We recommend to always store in a cool, dry place away from heat sources and direct light.
