Synergies:
  • Gymnema: Dry extract titrated to 25% in gymnemic acid. The gymnemic acid molecule has a structure similar to that of glucose but decidedly larger. It is able to bind to receptors involved in the absorption of glucose in the intestine. This bond ensures that the glucose is absorbed and passes into the blood. The bond of the receptor with gymnemic acid prevents the absorption of glucose and reduces the quantity that passes into the blood.
  • Cinnamon: The bark is used in the form of a dry extract. Cinnamon extract is able to boost the activity of insulin, increasing glucose utilisation and therefore reducing the levels of this sugar in the blood.
  • White mulberry: White mulberry leaves are used in the form of a dry extract. This extract contains substances that are able to inhibit the enzyme alpha-glucosidase, thereby reducing glucose absorption.
  • Sweet potato: The tuber is used in the form of a dry extract. This plant ingredient performs two important actions. The first concerns an increase in sensitivity to insulin, which helps reduce levels of glucose circulating in the blood. The second involves an improvement in the metabolic state of subjects with high glycaemia levels.
