Citrulline is a dietary supplement in tablets indicated for adults, including sportsmen. The product provides 1,000 mg per daily dose of l-citrulline, an intermediate in the urea cycle.

L-Citrulline supplementation has been shown to be useful for increasing levels of arginine (as well as citrulline itself) in the blood, available for nitric oxide synthesis and other associated functions.
When converted into arginine, it induces a vasodilatory effect by stimulating the cardiovascular system, thereby improving the elasticity of blood vessels.
The vasodilation induced by nitric oxide is used in the medical field to treat mild erectile dysfunctions and used by athletes to increase performance through a greater supply of blood, and therefore oxygen and nutrients, to the tissues involved in the effort.
