Phospholipidic IRON Lipofer™ - Iron food supplement Our Phospholipidic IRON Lipofer™, is a supplement based on LIPOFER ™, a compound of ferric pyrophosphate that uses "phospholipid" vehicle technology, i.e. it is incorporated into a phospholipid membrane, a sort of protective "shell", and, compared to other oral formulations, it allows better gastrointestinal absorption with a higher bioavailability of the mineral with lower incidence of side effects. Under normal conditions, generally only 15-20% of orally administered iron is absorbed due to an inherent limit in the availability of specific carriers at the duodenal level, so it is not worthwhile increasing the dose taken (and it may even be harmful), because once the transport capacity of the carriers has been saturated, this would only achieve an increase in side effects. We need very little of this essential mineral element to our body, but that "small portion" must be bioavailable. Its great fame spread in recent years in the medical field stems precisely from the fact that thanks to the sophisticated technology, Phospholipidic IRON surpasses the gastric environment unscathed and is absorbed at the level of the entire intestine (not only at the duodenal level). In this way it will arrive intact "at its destination" without disturbing the gastrointestinal mucous membranes. Scientific literature has shown that, thanks to phospholipidic technology, the absorption of Phospholipidic IRON pyrophosphate is 3.5 times greater than free iron pyrophosphate, 2.7 times higher than iron sulphate and 4.1 times higher compared to iron gluconate. In addition, the association with folic acid is added, making the use of iron conveyed at a cellular level optimal, in addition to vitamin C and Vitamin B12, which further favors the best bioavailability. Phospholipidic IRON Lipofer™ is a latest generation iron food supplement, which makes its integration effective as well as not bringing any frequent undesirable effects in its supplementation, aimed at all people in whom there is a real iron deficiency state, as in cases of athlete's anemia and non-pathological iron deficiency anemia. *Recommended dose (unless otherwise directed by a doctor): 1 capsule per day, to be taken at any time of the day.
