It promotes greater energy, more resistance to fatigue, greater mental clarity and, in general, more efficient response to stress, to which an athlete is often subjected. The growing fame of this "adaptogenic weapon" has become valuable to the athlete as the Ashwagandha KSM-66® has clinically proven to help to reduce stress and improve the state of anxiety. It is one of the natural remedies that moderate cortisol levels, a crucial factor for the athlete, improving the body's ability to relax in these situations where rest is often compromised. It can be defined as "adaptogen-cognitive" as it improves lucidity, concentration, and memory, as well as favoring physical resistance to muscle fatigue and contributing to the body's recovery processes. RHODIOLA Rhodiola is one of the most "famous" plants with adaptogenic properties that can improve the body's resistance to stressful events, of any origin. The mobilization of these acids causes an increase in the energy substrate for the production of ATP, which will be available for muscle needs, which the athlete will have as results in terms of an improvement in physical performance, an increase in fatigue resistance and an improved mood. ASTRAGALUS The properties of the astragalus are many and can be extended to various actions that can affect an organism under stress, such as that of an athlete who is undergoing overtraining or severe fatigue, in particular as an immunostimulant (the athlete becomes much more susceptible to illnesses during intensive training, such as in preparation for a competition), but also a san antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, cardiotonic, hypotensive, vasodilator, hepatoprotective, draining and protective for kidneys. It has a strong toning action, able to raise the threshold of resistance to stress factors, increasing energy, accelerating the metabolism, and promoting tissue repair. However, the traditional Chinese use of the plant is aimed at stimulating the "Qi" of the spleen and lungs, or rather those organs (together with the kidneys), at the base of the energy flows of the organism and, therefore, of defensive energies and immunity that often is affected and weakened in overtraining states. SCHISANDRA Schisandra is a plant known since ancient times for its invigorating and antioxidant properties, used in Russia as a natural remedy to strengthen the body, thanks to the natural presence of lignans in its berries. Today, it is increasingly known for its extraordinary adaptogenic capacity and to reduce the symptoms of fatigue, both physical and mental. In sports, the properties of Schisandra are particularly effective in improving the ability to withstand high training workloads, increase the sustainable duration of the performance and facilitate recovery times. For these reasons, regular use of Schisandra allows to counter the often ignored risk of overtraining, a risk that causes not only "hitches" in the ability to recover between training sessions, but also health problems and greater risk of traumas. We know very well how athletes need to keep the standard of their psycho-physical performance high, even in conditions of high stress typical of a competitive preparation, for example. This is why the Schisandra, the Ashwagandha and the Rhodiola, act in synergy to counteract the stressing agents that negatively influence the athlete's mind, significantly increasing the mood, giving more stimulus to improve reflexes and concentration.
