The product provides a 200mg daily dose of red-yeast rice titrated at 5% in monacolin K (10mg/dose), which contributes to the maintenance of normal levels of cholesterol in the blood* (the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 10 mg of monacolin K from red-yeast rice preparations).

Coenzyme Q10 is a substance found in human tissue and is involved in the transfer process of the cell's electrons.

The gamma oryzanol possesses various properties (also useful for cholesterol) and is derived from the oil of rice bran and contains ferulic acid and sterols.

Monacolin K is a molecule belonging to the Monacoline group that originates from the fermentation of the common red cooking rice Oryza sativa, thanks to the action of the Monascus purpureus yeast, also called "red yeast", which gives it its characteristic color.
Traditional Chinese Medicine suggests the consumption of fermented red rice to treat circulatory disorders and in case of gastrointestinal discomfort but the discovery of the molecule dates back to 1979, when Professor Aika Endo, studying the fermentation of "red yeast", discovered that a metabolite produced in the fermentation process it could inhibit the enzyme HMG-CoA-reductase, one of the enzymes involved in the synthesis of cholesterol that occurs in the liver. This metabolite was Monacolin K.
Plant statins such as Monacolin K have anti-cholesterol properties. The consumption must however follow the recommended doses in order not to incur side effects such as weakness, muscle pain, gastrointestinal or hepatic disorders.

Gamma oryzanol is a substance that is extracted from rice bran oil; it is also present in wheat bran, in some fruits and in certain vegetables.
Gamma oryzanol is believed to reduce cholesterol levels by limiting its absorption from food; for this it is proposed mainly to treat cases in which high cholesterol. In particular, in these cases, gamma oryzanol seems to reduce the levels of total cholesterol, that of bad cholesterol (the so-called LDL, LowDensityLipoproteins) and those of triglycerides.

Coenzyme Q10 is a very important molecule for our body. It is mainly present in the mitochondria, the energy control units of the cells, also in the heart muscle. Since statins that lower cholesterol also reduce the production of Coenzyme Q10, it is very useful to replenish the levels of this substance.

Recommendation: take 1 tablet once a day, with water. The food is to be used as part of a balanced and varied diet, including regular consumption of fruit and vegetables to help maintain carotenoid levels.
