ADVANCED AAKG + is a food supplement that provides 2 g of arginine alpha ketoglutarate per daily dose.
The product is aimed at athletes who are preparing to perform intense physical activities.

Arginine is a non-essential amino acid, in fact it can be synthesized starting from proline or glutamic acid, but it turns out to be of fundamental importance with regard to physical exercise so as to be considered on a par with essential amino acids.

Arginine, in fact, is one of the precursors of creatine synthesis, well known for its positive action on performance and the increase in muscle mass.
From arginine through NO-synthase, Nitric Oxide is synthesized, a powerful vasodilator, therefore able to favor the so-called "pump" effect, which is not only an end in itself, but guarantees a greater influx of nutrients and oxygen to the muscles , making them more efficient.
It also seems to have a positive effect on the secretion of growth hormone through Nitric Oxide.

Arginine alpha-Ketoglutarate (AAKG), enhances these effects thanks to its greater bioavailability in particular of muscle tissue, in addition ketogluatarate is also a source of arginine or ornithine thus creating a perfect synergistic effect.

Compared to the previous formulation we added the beetroot juice which naturally contains nitrates which, once ingested, are transformed into nitrites that are involved in the metabolism of nitric oxide.

Recent studies suggest that supplementing with nitrates in the form of beetroot juice reduces blood pressure and reduces the amount of oxygen needed during exercise, improving athletic performance.
The benefit is therefore probably mediated through the metabolic conversion of nitrates (NO3-) taken with the diet in nitrites (NO2-) and then in nitrogen monoxide (NO).

Nitrogen monoxide has numerous functions in the body, including the ability to regulate blood flow, muscle contraction, glucose and calcium homeostasis and mitochondrial respiration.
Increased blood flow causes energy production (ATP) in the mitochondria to be facilitated.
