Pranarom - Salvia Sclarea is an organic essential oil of clary sage, an active ingredient known for its estrogen-like, aphrodisiac, circulation-regulating, anti-cholesterol, antifungal, antispasmodic and neurotic action. Indicated to rebalance the female hormonal system.

Sage, native to western Asia and southern and central Europe, is a biennial herbaceous plant of the Laminaceae family; it is widespread in temperate climates as an ornamental plant, but is essentially cultivated to produce an essential oil to be used in the production of liqueurs or perfumes.

In the Middle Ages, sage was considered a saving plant; the Greeks, Romans and Arabs commonly used it as a tonic and as a remedy against snake bites, while Egyptian women used to drink sage juice to increase fertility.

The most frequent use is for local use or for diffusion, less frequent use is oral. The traditional treatment indication of clary sage essential oil is for:

- Amenorrhea and gynecological disorders;

- Genital infections due to hormonal insufficiency;

- Menopause;

- Frigidity and impotence;

- Nervous fatigue;

- Mycosis;

- Hypercholesterolemia;

- Circulatory disorders.

 

DIRECTIONS: External use for massages, diluting a few drops in a vegetable oil in local application.

Clary sage is easier to use and less dangerous than salvia officinalis.
