Carnitine is an amino acid naturally present in the human body, localized a little in all tissues with, however, clear prevalence in skeletal muscles. Endogenous production sites are liver, kidney and brain; a part is released into the circulatory stream and transported to the remaining tissues.
The importance of carnitine derives from its main physiological function: only carnitine is able to transport fatty acids into the mitochondria where they are degraded in various stages with the formation of energy.
This substance is therefore indispensable in lipid catabolism (lipolysis). The other functions of carnitine derive directly or indirectly from this "fat burner" function: Several studies have shown that both aerobic (resistance) and anaerobic (potency) stresses significantly decrease blood levels of carnitine. This assumption indicates how the intake of carnitine can fill deficiency states induced by physical activity of various kinds.
Of utmost importance is the fact that at the doses tested, carnitine has never induced harmful or unwanted side effects.

The Company + Watt srl was founded in 1997. The creation of the company is determined by the need to propose, in the sports field, a series of products able to help and stimulate the athlete to achieve a satisfactory performance without conceding anything to the case or refer to deceptive, meaningless promises made solely for commercial purposes.

The "truth" must obviously deal with two important aspects for a company: the commercial aspect and the scientific aspect.
The commercial aspect cannot be commented on by us, it would be too presumptuous, but it is worth remembering that over the years + Watt srl has considerably expanded with its strength. Selling something for the first time is relatively easy, but the continuity over time is given by the possibility that the product is appreciated and creates customer loyalty that for no reason should be "betrayed".
The scientific aspect has been the workhorse of society, it flows in its veins and derives from the passion and professional training of the two founding members. Marco Favaron and Guido Vantini have arrived at food integration from pharmaceutical research: both graduates, important experiences in prestigious research institutes in Milan, the United States, Switzerland and then in leading pharmaceutical companies. Moreover, each one for his part, has actively practiced and loved the sport. It was these ideal and unrepeatable conditions to create the company.
Every product is born with excellent raw materials, it must be based on a solid scientific base that must be explained in a simple and truthful way, and, above all, the product must meet, understand and interpret the demands and needs of the athletes. And this can only be done by those who have done and are part of that world, of sport and science and not just "hearsay".
Over the years, Marco and Guido have tried to convey a message that we believe to be fundamental and important for society: those who buy a + Watt product not only buy a supplement, but above all the awareness of being able to improve their athletic limits.
