Yamamoto® Nutrition Recumid Recumid is based on the best combination of highly absorbable elements for our muscles which, thanks to training and the consequent hyperaemia, are ready to receive and use them for the maximum recovery possible, both during and potentially after workouts. Recumid, this immediate "ideal elixir" for muscle recovery, consists of: HBCD Cyclodextrins (Cluster Dextrin®), Hydrolysed Caseins (Peptopro®), Phosphatidylserine, Glutamine (Kyowa® Quality), Fenugreek and coconut water powder. The systemic biochemical environment created by muscle stress during training is a very delicate time, creating enzymatic and endocrinal situations that are potentially "ideal" for the most efficient supply of nutrients for recovery. However, it is essential not to excessively engage the body, already in an "inflammatory" state due to the destruction of fibres, even with the need to digest food, with relative fatigue and the removal of blood from the muscles. Modern dietary supplements allow us to assemble elements with the highest degree of absorption necessary to support protein synthesis, thus reconstructing muscles and storing glycogen without particular digestive commitments or related malabsorption issues. Thanks to this pool of elements, we successfully fight the battle of protein synthesis on induced muscle catabolism, immediately replenishing the consumed glycogen stocks, always guaranteeing maximum cellular hydration and effectively counteracting the wave of cortisol induced by training, thanks to the insulinogenic power of the elements it contains. Recumid, this immediate "ideal elixir" for muscle recovery, consists of: HBCD Cyclodextrins (Cluster Dextrin®), Hydrolysed Caseins (Peptopro®), Phosphatidic Acid, Glutamine (Kyowa® Quality), Fenugreek and coconut water powder. Recumid contains only 100% Cyclodextrins (Cluster Dextrin®), as this is the most innovative and effective form of carbohydrates to take during and immediately after training. These glucose polymers are derived from the reaction between amylopectin and a specific enzyme, forming a glucose polymer with a particular cyclic structure and exceptional characteristics, with an average molecular weight of 160,000 Da. It has very low osmolarity, which promotes very fast gastric emptying and equally fast absorption by the intestine. It is then gradually released into the circulatory stream "ready to use", without any gastrointestinal disturbance due to malabsorption, all for the benefit of the athlete who seeks true performance support and to promote maximum recovery efficiency. The sooner you have all the necessary materials available (the branched structure helps make it a carrier for others) for supercompensation, the sooner you recover, and the sooner you get closer to your goals. Cyclodextrins are a more soluble and more rapidly absorbable new-generation carbohydrate than any other carbohydrate source, promoting rapid energy support due for immediate performance support needs and support after glycogen storage. They have a more constant effect over time, without spikes and respective glycaemic "crashes", and without raising insulin levels excessively, by modulating their action. We know that the flow of blood to specific digestive organs during training is very limited, since the mass influx is destined for the increased demand from the engaged muscles. Hence this "paradoxical" situation of greater need and "sponge" effect can experience some obstacles, including from the inflammatory state and extreme stress the organism has to face, and all this can therefore make absorbing nutrients difficult during or immediately after training. It takes time for the body to come out of the acute phase and for blood distribution to return to a more balanced regime, but on the other hand the situation can be managed and channelled more profitably: exploiting enzymes, enhancing insulin strength at this precise moment and taking advantage of the massive circulation to the muscles. So we need elements that arrive bioavailable as soon as possible and without gastric commitment, and for this we could not include a top-quality preparation featuring hydrolysed caseins (PeptoPro®). More than 80% composed of small di- and tripeptides with a weight below 300 Daltons, they do not require digestion and prove to be the absolute best protein source post-training in terms of bioavailable speed. They follow a differentiated absorption pathway using specific enzymatic carriers, compared to those same free form amino acids or complex proteins which also require digestion. Thanks to these characteristics and their absolute solubility, they are the "ideal" proteins for immediately before, during and especially immediately after a workout, bearing in mind that we do not grow during this time when the muscles are damaged and subjected to stress by catabolic effects. Thanks to the rapid presence of a "Formula 1" of protein forms, we are thus able to protect, support and sustain the focus on protein synthesis and thus the "anabolic" state of the muscles. Glutamine is present, in support for a more brilliant protein synthesis and to enhance the anti-catabolic effect, as well as to further promote cellular hydration. To maintain physiological hydration during and after training, Recumid contains coconut water powder, giving it the added value of being a drink rich in mineral salts, such as potassium, magnesium, calcium and sodium, and in trace elements which also promote the whole body's well-being and health through detoxifying, purifying and deacidifying effects; but above all, rehydrating like no other drink. Coconut water is immediately assimilated into the bloodstream, providing excellent replenishment of electrolytes consumed during physical activity. It contains the five essential electrolytes that athletes, for example, must take before and particularly after each performance, namely sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium and phosphorus, in very high concentrations and with a very high degree of absorption. An added value included in Recumid is phosphatidylserine, a very important phospholipid in activating protein synthesis. The addition of fenugreek extract serves as an "insulin sensitiser".
