Yamamoto® Research Bromelina - Bromelain is an enzyme-rich extract derived from Ananas comosus (L.) Merr. Pineapple is indicated to promote digestive function, assisting the digestive process if taken with meals. It also supports the drainage of body fluids and microcirculation, alleviating the feeling of heavy legs and combating cellulite. Bromelain is a food supplement providing 2000 mg of enzymes with an activity of 5000 GDU per daily dose. Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme extracted in particular from the pineapple stem.
Bromelain is a well-known enzyme found inside the pineapple and, although it is present in all parts of the pleasant exotic fruit, its highest concentration is found in the stem of the fruit, the hardest and most fibrous portion which is often discarded and not eaten. This particular enzyme has what is known as 'proteolytic' activity, i.e. it can 'break' peptide bonds between proteins. In fact, it is one of the two constituent poles of the enzyme protease, which is known to digest proteins. It also contains, in very small quantities, other enzymes with a digestive role, such as amylase, cellulase, acid phosphatase and peroxidase. As a result of these characteristics, bromelain is able to 'break down' the complex structure of proteins so that the body can digest them and absorb the nutrients, while discarding the parts that are not useful. Combined with a solid protein meal, such as meat, the use of this enzyme will help digestion considerably. Bromelain is often suggested and used with satisfactory results, particularly by women, also against fluid retention, and in particular against swelling of the lower limbs. Bromelain supplementation provides 2000 mg of enzymes, with an activity of 5000 GDU per recommended daily dose, and is indicated to promote digestive function, assisting the digestive process if taken with meals. It also works to support the drainage of body fluids and the function of the microcirculation, alleviating the feeling of heavy legs and combating cellulite. Directions: take 4 tablets a day, preferably before meal.
