Yamamoto® Research Dimezim - S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine (SAMe) and Betaine food supplement Yamamoto® Research Dimezim. DIMEZIM is a S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine (SAMe) and Betaine food supplement. Each tablet provides 250 mg of SAME and 200 mg of Betaine. Adenosylmethionine is found in every living cell, and is a substance that is produced naturally by the body from ATP and methionine, synthesised by the enzyme methionine adenosyltransferase. "SAMe" is involved in various biochemical reactions in the human body, with very important tasks like linking methyl groups (“Methylation") to other molecules, from DNA to phospholipids or proteins. In this way, the body can synthesise, regenerate and protect the cartilage in joints, the biochemistry of the brain, and the liver can detoxify harmful substances, like alcohol and drugs, due to the strengthening of endogenous glutathione production by Adenosylmethionine. SAMe is also essential for the production of neurotransmitters like serotonin, norepinephrine, dopamine and phosphatidylserine, which is why it is commonly considered to be an invaluable mood booster. To support its liver detoxifying action, betaine is present, which is also a natural substance that acts as a methyl group donor, just like Adenosylmethionine. Directions: 1 tablet per day with water, preferably between meals.
