YAMAMOTO® RESEARCH
Yamamoto® Research GLR Stick - Food supplement based on L-Glutathione.

Glutathione is an extraordinarily important substance for the physiology of our body, composed of three amino acids which are glycine, cysteine and glutamic acid, which is part of the composition of the group of enzymes called "glutathione peroxidase". It is the most important antioxidant found in the human body in all tissues, capable of neutralizing free radicals thanks to an oxide reduction reaction in which the reduced glutathione neutralizes free radicals thanks to its hydrogen atom, for then regenerate and regain the antioxidant action by means of glutathione reductase (NADPH dependent enzyme). As the main antioxidant of the body, the presence at physiological levels.

Its presence is also at the level of the mitochondria which will be "protected" from the free radicals generated, allowing them to work in their maximum efficiency as a "cellular energy plant". An imbalance made by an insufficient level of Glutathione in the mitochondria, the protection of whole cells will also be at high risk. In cells and organs it participates in various biochemical-physiological processes, from the production and repair of tissues to the synthesis of Protein and other molecules, passing through involvement in the immune defenses. It is also found in particularly high concentrations in the liver, where it plays a fundamental role in its detoxification of the liver, as Glutathione is capable of binding to metals, alcohol and toxins or other various xenobiotics.

The intake of Setria®-Glutathione, patented by the Japanese multinational Kyowa, reduced glutathione from a new generation fermented origin for oral use, can help the body to support optimal levels of glutathione to counteract oxidative stress, supporting the efficiency of the immune system, favoring the natural detoxifying action in eliminating xenobiotic agents from the body. The formulation in a practical orosoluble stick allows it to be easily transported with you, favoring a rapid intake of the product even outside the home, without resorting to the use of a glass of water, and making use of an additional advantage in bioavailability thanks to sublingual absorption, bypassing intestinal activity of gamma-glutamyltransferases (the absorption occurs at the buccal level), and avoiding the enterocytic metabolic greed and skipping the hepatic filter, preventing the hepatic first pass metabolism which largely deactivates the molecule. There are human studies that have shown that the absorption of glutathione is strongly increased when it is held in the mouth between the palate and the tongue, making it possible that the oral intake of glutathione, can bring the serum and cellular concentrations to the normal levels in a few hours, without necessarily having to go through the injection route to have an effective bioavailability also at the oral level.
