Basenpulver mineral dietary supplement contains a blend of carbonate mineral salts with the addition of basic magnesium carbonate, which can help meet the daily requirement of magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium and zinc which promotes normal acid-base metabolism. Calcium and magnesium also contribute to normal muscle function and the maintenance of normal bones.
ACID-BASE BALANCE Energy metabolism generates an accumulation of metabolic waste which is eliminated through the intestine, kidneys, skin and lungs. Many of these metabolic waste are acidic and require appropriate neutralization in order to be eliminated. If the body produces a quantity of acidic metabolic waste that is higher than that which it is able to neutralize and eliminate, an accumulation of acid substances will occur which will lead, over time, to acidosis. Likewise, the lack of alkaline substances can lead to a state of acidosis. To limit the damage induced by acidosis, the body will have to activate expensive compensation systems in order to counterbalance this imbalance. The body, initially, deposits acid waste in the connective tissue and then releases and eliminates them when basic mineral salts are again available in the blood. This phenomenon occurs practically every day in our body. An incorrect or poorly balanced diet (excessive quantities of meat, cheese, coffee and reduced consumption of vegetables and wholemeal products) can cause a state of acidosis due to this type of diet. Other causes of acidosis can result from poor oxygenation of the body and a reduced ability to eliminate waste through the kidneys. A sedentary life in closed environments does not always allow proper oxygenation. Finally, an insufficient fluid intake does not allow adequate elimination of waste, through the kidneys and skin (sweating).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: 1 teaspoon of powder (about 4 g), once a day dissolved in a glass of water, preferably in the evening before going to bed.
