What is B5 500?

B5 500 is a vitamin B5 or pantothenic acid supplement. Part of the B-complex, it is water-soluble and is found in all living cells, yeasts, moulds, bacteria and in the individual cells of all plants and animals.
It is produced in accordance with high quality standards. It is allergen-free and not GMO.

Use and mechanism of action

Pantothenic acid contributes to our body’s normal energy metabolism, carrying out an effective toning action that eliminates sensations of fatigue and extreme fatigue. It provides a precious support for normal mental performance.

Pantothenic acid is essential for the synthesis of cholesterol, steroids (organic, fat soluble components) and fatty acids and promotes the use of other vitamins, especially riboflavin. Some studies support its importance in maintaining good digestive tract health and in preventing arthritis. When we are going through a particularly intense and stressful period, pantothenic acid helps us to withstand tiredness and to form the antibodies that are needed to fight infections.

Other research tells us that pantothenic acid increases energy, improves athletic performance, accelerates wound healing, prevents hair loss and the appearance of white hair, delays premature aging and the formation of wrinkles. It also protects from cell damage caused by excessive radiation and helps eliminate constipation and post-operative gas.

Do I need to supplement my diet with pantothenic acid? Symptoms of deficiency can include vomiting, restlessness, abdominal pain, burning sensation in the feet, muscle cramps, insulin sensitivity, decreased antibody formation and upper respiratory infections as well as psychological symptoms such as insomnia, fatigue and depression.

RECOMMENDATION: one capsule daily, with a large glass of water, preferably at mealtimes.
