Yamamoto® Research Neuflor 56 Billion Yamamoto® Research Neuflor 56 billion is a food supplement with a high concentration of probiotics (one to fifteen billion per species) containing 8 different strains of clinically proven live microorganisms from the Lactobacillus, Bifidobacteria and Streptococcus thermophilus groups. A balanced combination of highly concentrated active probiotics, formulated to colonise the entire digestive tract and restore the balance of intestinal microflora more quickly.
The resident bacterial flora of the intestine, also known as the 'gut microbiota', is the collection of the many specific bacteria and strains that literally live in and 'colonise' our intestines. More and more often we talk about how 'intestinal' health conditions the entire psychophysical state of our organism, given the many activities in which the intestinal microbiota is involved, starting with its metabolic activity, since it actively produces vitamins, anti-inflammatory immunoglobulins and other important factors such as serotonin. Its protective and structural action is also invaluable, because the mucosa is a 'delicate' yet powerful defence barrier against the introduction of pathogens, their proliferation, and the control and reduction of faecal pH. In physiological conditions, in fact, there is a sort of dynamic balance between the various species of bacteria, the 'good' and the 'bad' ones, which can be altered for various factors, thus favouring the growth of pathogenic bacteria (i.e. the 'bad' ones), thus creating an imbalance predisposing to disorders of varying severity and extent and altering the intestinal membrane. The intestine is indeed an extremely important multifactorial pole for the body's overall health. For this reason, an intestine with alterations in the bacterial flora entails the risk of an inefficient immune system, making us very susceptible to 'external attacks' and disorders of various kinds, precisely because the microbiota, in its physiological efficiency, acts as a real protective barrier against invasions. It should also not be forgotten that research is continuing to reveal the direct correlation between an altered colon and various emotional disorders, given that the cells of the intestine are directly responsible for the production of 80% of our body's serotonin ('good mood hormone'). This is why the gut is increasingly being called the 'second brain'. If we find ourselves in the presence of these alterations, either at the first signs of trouble or in conjunction with infections (bacterial or viral) that upset the balance of the precious intestinal flora, probiotics can help. Probiotics, better known by the term 'milk enzymes', are live micro-organisms that are able to reach the intestine intact, colonise it and shift the balance of intestinal flora towards 'good' bacteria, thus counteracting the proliferation of potentially harmful bacterial species. Thanks to a very high concentration of probiotic bacterial strains, Neuflor 56 billion helps restore the integrity of the altered intestinal mucosa, acting as an aid to the immune system by stimulating various elements involved in the defence and integrity of intestinal cells, and reinforcing the immune response in the face of infections of various aetiologies. An effective introduction of live probiotic bacteria also has an effect on infectious diarrhoea caused by viruses or bacteria. In children, for example, it can prevent it, reducing the duration and intensity of symptoms even in the case of rotavirus diarrhoea. In some cases, they help prevent traveller's diarrhoea or lessen the intensity of its effects. It is also important to remember that probiotics, particularly certain strains, protect against or at least alleviate diarrhoea, which is frequently associated with antibiotic treatment (which can alter the microflora) and is very often underestimated. In some situations, probiotics oppose colonisation of the gastric mucosa by Helicobacter pylori, and combined with targeted therapeutic treatment, help it to predominate over the bacterium. The beneficial effect of probiotics in the case of vaginal candidiasis should also not be overlooked: Candida does not normally cause any symptoms or discomfort, as it is kept under control by our immune system and by the lactobacilli. Theirs is a true immunomodulating action on the intestinal immune system, as well as anti-inflammatory on the intestinal walls when inflamed, thus also helping to prevent relapses of ulcerative colitis.
For these reasons, when the physiological balance of our bacteria in the intestine is disturbed, thanks to its balanced and high concentration of 8 selected strains, Neuflor 56 billion will allow a recolonisation of 'gut-friendly' bacteria that will arrive alive and in large numbers to support intestinal health. *It is advisable to take Neuflor 56 Billion on an empty stomach in order to facilitate more effective absorption.
